まわれ まわれ まわれよ 水まわれ
まわって お日さん 呼んでこい

まわれ まわれ まわれよ 水まわれ
まわって お日さん 呼んでこい

人の情けを はぐくみて
まつとしきかば 今かへりこむ

English:

Round, round, go round, Waterwheel, go round
Go round, and call Mr. Sun
Go round, and call Mr. Sun
Birds, bugs, beasts, grass, trees, flowers
Bring spring and summer, fall and winter
Bring spring and summer, fall and winter

Round, round, go round, Waterwheel, go round
Go round, and call Mr. Sun
Go round, and call Mr. Sun
Birds, bugs, beasts, grass, trees, flowers
Flower, bear fruit, and die
Be born, grow up, and die
Still the wind blows, the rain falls
The waterwheel goes round
Lifetimes come and go in turn
Lifetimes come and go in turn

Go round, come round, come round, O distant time
Come round, call back my heart
Come round, call back my heart
Birds, bugs, beasts, grass, trees, flowers
Teach me how to feel
If I hear that you pine for me
I will return to you.

  2. Hi! I'm glad to find the wonderful song in this blog. Well, I'm learning to sing this song and I noticed that the version I am using has some sounds of some syllables that are different of the version that I heard here, and I was curious. Could you explain this difference to me...if you can of course ;). This is the version I'm using to learn the song:

    1. The above version is the combination of Warabe Uta & Ten'nyo no Uta. While the youtube link you provided is only Ten'nyo no Uta. I like the above version more than the split version. That's y this version, i didn't stated is part from Insert/OP/ED.
